Why Donate?
PYC is able to assist over 4,000 youth and families in the St. Louis metropolitan area thanks to the generous support of individuals and businesses alike. All donations go directly to the implementation of our violence prevention programs in local schools, community centers, churches, group homes, and more. By supporting PYC's efforts to stop youth violence before it starts, you are helping St. Louis evolve into a more peaceful community and giving our children the opportunity to go to school without fear.

Ways to Support PYC

Donor
Your donation helps us get our prevention programs to schools, children, and families, who otherwise wouldn't have the resources available. Even a small donation makes a big difference:

$10 helps PYC continue to provide our free afterschool program to the kids at Shenandoah Elementary School.
$33 helps one student learn a preventive skill, putting them one step closer to becoming a successful adult.
$100 helps us educate 10 parents and/or educators about prevention and how to incorporate it into their family and school lives.
$500 helps 15 students learn a preventive skill, making them one step closer to becoming successful adults.
$1000 helps 30 kids learn an entire preventive education program, giving them the tools necessary to grow into successful adults.

Event Sponsorship
A large part of PYC's growth is achieved through our annual special events such as World of Children and Football Frenzy. These events drive not only our donations but our exposure in the community which helps us reach new kids and families. Sponsors make these crucial events possible, showing that we as a community strive to make the world a safer place for our children.

Scholarship Funds
Sometimes events happen that trigger a specific need for our prevention programming in specific areas in St. Louis. In these cases, PYC sets up special earmarked funds to finance the facilitation of the necessary programs in those specific schools and communities.

RECEIVE A TAX CREDIT UP TO 50 PERCENT OF YOUR DONATION TO PYC!
As a result of the State of Missouri's Youth Opportunities Program (Y.O.P.), you may be eligible to receive 50 cents back for every $1.00 you donate to Progressive Youth Connection. PYC was recently approved to receive the tax credits for 2009 through the Missouri Department of Economic Development, which administers the program. Y.O.P. is designed to broaden and strengthen opportunities for positive development in community life for youth, and to discourage criminal and violent behavior.
